A sample blog isn’t like a regular blog you are trying to use to make money. You don’t have to worry about promoting affiliate products on it, or driving traffic to it. It simply exists to show what you can do.

If you don’t already have a free Blogger account, sign up for one. It will only take you a few minutes.

Create your blog on a topic you know quite a bit about, and could probably write short, 200 to 250 word posts about in your sleep. Remember, you want to put your best foot forward.

Now, make your first post. And, just like that, you have created your sample blog.

People who are hiring bloggers want to know that they are reliable, and can be depended on to make their blog posts on time.

Try to make a post in your sample blog every day, at least for the first week or two. After that, make two or three posts a week.

This will show that you can be counted on to post in a blog regularly.

<strong>Post Daily</strong>

When you first start your blog, try to post in it daily for at least a week.

There are two good reasons for this. First, it will give you a good head start, and help to fill up your currently empty site with good content. And, secondly, posting frequently will help you quickly get comfortable with the process of writing posts, and using the blogging software.

If you have been asking yourself, “How do I start blogging?” these are the three easy steps you should follow. As simple as that, you can have your blog up and running. And, once you get your first one off the ground, your second, and third, and fourth will be even easier.

The problem comes when those purchasing PLR packages do very little to change them up, or make them unique is some way. Buyers of PLR often believe that since they paid for the rights to use the content, they aren’t required to modify it or spending time adding value to these documents, which in part is accurate; you aren’t required to change anything at all if you don’t want to.. but if you don’t be prepared for flames and backlash.

Problem #1) Article Directories will not accept PLR article content.
If you spend hours submitting PLR articles into directories online, prepare for them to be removed, deleted and your account to possibly end up being suspended. Even those directories who initially may accept your article submissions can eventually determine them to be PLR releases and remove all of the content associated to your account. There’s no way around it, either purchase custom content or take the time to make major changes to the PLR article packages that you purchase.

Furthermore, it is said that those using duplicate content can end up penalized by the search engines, so be careful to avoid this from happening.

Problem #2: Customers Buy Originality
Another common problem with buyers of PLR is that they are selling duplicated content to their customers. This is fine as long as these customers have not already purchased the same content from someone else who also has the rights to sell the same PLR package.

While this makes buying and reselling PLR a tricky feat at times, if you want to avoid angry customers and refund requests, you must add your own unique spin to the content, by adding in more information than it contains in its original form, and do your best to include useful free bonuses or special offers to your customers in the event that they may have already obtained this information elsewhere. Be prepared to honor refund requests that may come in (even after changing the content, you still might get the occasional buyer who recognizes it).

Problem #3) Your Credibility and Your Brand
Using PLR the right way can save a lot of time and give you a structured foundation in which to create your own content. If you decide to use PLR ’straight from the box’, you are potentially putting your credibility and brand on the line in the event that someone discovers that it wasn’t your original work. Publishing content on subjects you know little or nothing about can make others question your skills, knowledge and quite possibly, wonder if all of your other products are also developed by other people.

Furthermore, your readers may think you are plagiarizing or copying other sites. This is something to take into consideration.

Problem #4: Breaking Rules
A lot of PLR developers fail to include their terms or permissions within the PLR package itself. This means that unless you contact the author yourself to determine exactly what you are able to do with this PLR, you might end up breaking the rules without realizing it. This is why whenever you do purchase PLR from someone you must take the time to ensure that the package includes a license file, and if it doesn’t, that the author provide a written agreement or policy that clearly outlines your options and permissions.

While I have listed a handful of problems associated with buying and using PLR, there are also many positive points to purchasing these pre-created packages, if you use them the right way.

A few things to consider when you are purchasing PLR is whether the person selling it is the original author or not. There is no sense in purchasing third-party PLR packages if they have already been heavily distributed or saturated throughout your market.

In addition, you should only purchase PLR packages from those who responsibly limit the number of licenses available. This way, you are able to sell this content without a lot of competition and can avoid spending time setting up an advertising campaign for a product that is saturated and perhaps even considered outdated.

And last, regardless how skilled the writer of the PLR claims to be, always read the product thoroughly and evaluate the quality yourself. Make sure that every single product that you attach your name to, is the very best that it can be. Taking someone else’s word for it is a lazy, irresponsible way to run your business, and can quickly destroy your reputation online.
